 Custom Modified(cowboy saddle by custom saddle maker) Barry's saddle was built for a good customer from Canada that became a good friend in the process. The tree is modeled after an old half-breed Visalia saddle that we restored for him..it really turned out nice! We took the great big front end of the Visalia (16") and put some modern, conventional bars under them that would fit Barry's big shouldered horse. Probably some of the nicest tooling I've done on a saddle; Barry ordered saddle bags, breast collar and headstall to match. Need a little more information?

I enjoy building fancy full floral tooled handmade saddles, but find just as much enjoyment in building a "Plain Jane" roughout saddle. I simply like to build cowboy saddles for people who will "put them to the test."
